Fire at 24th and Elgin

Lubbock Fire Department and EMS personnel responded to a house fire at NE corner of 24th and Elgin.  According to witnesses on the scene, there were not human injuries but at least one cat died despite the valiant efforts of paramedics.  Other witnesses on the scene report that cats live at the house but not any people.  LCAD records show the owner as Jane Goldthorn.
