Proposed Changes in the UNIT Bylaws

The following are the proposed bylaws for the UNIT Neighborhood Association as distributed at the last General Membership Meeting which took place on September 24, 2009. Amendments to specific areas are in red. These will be presented at the March 25th meeting at J.T. Hutchinson Middle School Cafeteria beginning at 5:30 PM.   1. A few comments and questions:

    What are the roles of the Executive Board and Advisory Board?
    Why are all of the committees being dissolved? As one who sits on the Yard Of the Month Committee, does this mean we are out of a job? ;-)

    I was hoping to find information/minutes/agenda from the September 2009 meeting where apparently new elections had occurred and revisions to the by-laws were originally suggested. Is this information available?

    I did notice that the September meeting was announced on this website 3 days (21 Sept.) before the meeting (24 Sept.).

    Lastly, I am surprised to read these proposed by-laws in that they appear to be different than the by-laws that I have read in the (distant) past on the old UNIT website. And, who suggested the red revisions?

  2. I have two dogs and can't leave them alone at night to go to meetings. Mr. Yoshinobu, what were the answers to your insightful questions? Does anyone know of a good petsitter in Tech Terrace?
