Codes in UNIT on Thursday
Codes Field Exercise will be conducted in the U.N.I.T Neighborhood.
The Code Administration Section of the Lubbock Police Department will be conducting an intensive neighborhood inspection of the U.N.I.T. neighborhood on Thursday, March 11th, 2010, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Code Inspectors will be working in the area bordered by University to Indiana, 19th Street to 34th Street.
The object of this exercise will be to identify violations relating to Junked Vehicles, Nuisance Weeds and Rubbish, Substandard Housing, and Zoning. Code Administration Inspectors will be talking to the public to provide education regarding these types of violations, citing violations, and possibly abating violations during this exercise. A field office will be set up at the McCullough Substation at 2901 Elgin Ave for citizens to ask questions or report violations.
