South Plains Astronomy Club

A reminder from the South Plains Astronomy Club Folks, Friday night, June 17th, about 9:30 PM, the South Plains Astronomy Club is having a public star party on the south side of Tech Terrace Park. Porrima and Saturn are very close in the sky and should make a fine pairing. The moon will rise at 10:45 and there will be a plethora of double stars, clusters, and other heavenly hosts to keep us busy. With the lack of rain, mosquitoes should be no problem. Hope you can make it out. Collin Smith South Plains Astronomy Club Treasurer - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad at a TxDot Rest Area using Free Wifi.
